Heli-skiing trips in winter and heli-hiking excursions in summer months with 36 years experience. Enjoy 1,500 square kilometres of spectacular terrain in the breathtaking Purcell Mountains with annual snowfalls of up to 1,100 cm (36 ft).
On average 29 feet of snow falls in Fernie each year. That is enough snow to cover a three-storey building. Five enormous bowls; countless glades & chutes. Variety of terrain appeals to all levels. Fernie is as steep as you want it to be.
This course is established in 1924, the first course in the Rockies. The course winds through ponderosa pines, high above the St Mary River. Open April to October
