A mile high in the Canadian Rockies, the scenery is distracting on this challenging 27-hole course. It is not unusual to have a full-grown elk bound out of the way of a well hit drive.

This Rocky Mountain golf course lies in the shadows of Yamnuska Mountain on the North side of the Brewster family’s 90 year old guest ranch. Every hole is unique, with smooth fairways, bent grass greens, a couple of small ponds and a handful of sand traps. The fourth hole, a 398-yard dog-leg right, and the 386-yard, dog-leg right seventh hole, are the most challenging holes.

This beautiful mountain course is anked as one of the hardest and most scenic courses in the province. The 18 hole course combines an old nine with a new nine designed by GDS Golf Design. Elevation changes and rolling terrain combined with strategically placed bunkers demand careful club selection and shot making. The signature hole is the par 4 13th, 354 yards. This hole requires two accurate shots to reach the green, a perfect drive from the center of the fairway then requires a mid to short iron shot to the green. The green is guarded by bunkers on the left and a tree on the right, wind on this hole is also a factor as the second shot is usually played into it.

This spectacular course, opened in 1962, lies in the heavily forested foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The fairways meander over rolling hills and through tall spruce trees. The most scenic views on the course can be enjoyed from the 3rd green looking back, and the 11th tee contemplating your drive down the fairway.

Golf Digest Magazine rates it as one of the top 25 public courses in North America and judged as the Best Super-Value 36 hole golf course in North American and the Caribbean. 136 irregularly shaped sand traps, tree lined fairways and strategically placed ponds make this course a challenge for all levels.

Just west of the town of Bragg Creek, this course is close to Calgary, but is in the middle of the beautiful foothills. Wintergreen's mountain streams, lakes and ponds come into play on at least 8 of the holes. Gleaming white silica sand bunkers add beauty and challenge to the Wintergreen golf experience. Sculpted from the rolling foothills by architect Bill Nevis. Driving ranges, short game practice facility are included in the .
