Personal: Flea Markets
One of the joys of Saturday morning, other than not going to work, is the search for a bargain at a flea market. One man's trash might turn into your treasure. It's quite easy to spend hours searching tables hoping to find something for virtually nothing.
Here are some flea market tips.

Crossroads Flea Market (Calgary)
2222 16th Avenue NE, Thursday through Sunday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Phone: 291-5208
North 16th Avenue NE, just east of the Deerfoot Trail, you'll find the Canadian Rockies's largest weekend treasure hunt. Crossroads runs from Thursday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and leases space to over 400 vendors selling pretty well everything. About 3,000 buyers, sellers, traders and deal makers visit each weekend. A vendor's booth costs $58.78, and buyers pay pay 25 cents admission.
Hillhurst/Sunnyside Market (Calgary)
1320 5th Avenue NW, Sunday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Phone 283-0554
The Sunday flea market is held indoors at the Hillhurst/Sunnyside Community Centre with about 100 vendors (they pay $15 fee). Because the tables are temporary, the pressure to selleverything by the end of the day is strong.
