While Banff may be the "heart" of the Rockies, there is lots going on in other communities. We cover the area from Jasper in the north down to the Crowsnest Pass, and from Bragg Creek & Kananaskis Country west into BC to Golden and Revelstoke, and further south to Radium and Windermere all the way to Cranbrook & Kimberly.
Tourism is the largest industry in this region, brinin gvisitors from around the world. The second largest industry is resource extraction, largely forestry and mining, made possible by the proximity to trans-Canada rail lines that connect to Canada's industrial base and shipping points on the Pacific Ocean.
